Selma Services

Expert review and legal support where tools fall short

Selma Services reviews your website manually, tests it with people who use screen readers every day, makes your documents accessible and gives legal advice. All from one provider.

What tools do not see

Automated tools find many common issues, but not all of them. Whether a purchase can be completed with a screen reader, whether a text is easy to understand or whether an alternative text describes the image correctly takes a person to judge. That is where our experts come in.

The services

What we can help you with

  • Expert review

An accessibility expert reviews your website line by line against WCAG 2.2 AA and tests it with assistive technology on desktop and mobile. You get an action plan your developers can work from.

  • User testing

People who use screen readers every day test your most important flows. You get screen recordings of how the flows work and a written review with suggested improvements.

  • Accessible documents

Our experts make your PDFs, Word documents and other files accessible, in the format you need.

  • Legal support

Our lawyer assesses whether and how the accessibility act applies to you, and supports you if a supervisory authority gets in touch. You get documentation of the efforts and fixes you have made.

Common questions about Selma Services

How is it different from an automated scan?
An automated scan finds common issues that can be measured, in seconds. In an expert review, people test with assistive technology and judge what tools cannot, such as whether a flow can be completed and whether texts are easy to understand.
How many pages does an expert review cover?
Up to ten representative template pages. If you need more pages, we extend the review.
Who carries out the user tests?
People who use screen readers every day. They go through your most important flows and tell you where they get stuck.
Does the accessibility act apply to us?
It depends on your business and the services you offer. Our lawyer can assess how the act applies in your case.
Can you help us sell in the US?
Yes. We give advice together with American experts and lawyers, and prepare a VPAT, the account of accessibility that American buyers often ask for.
What does it cost?
It depends on how many pages and flows are reviewed. Book a meeting and we will put together a quote.
